Safety and Security
The safety and security of your child is of paramount importance and access to the nursery is strictly controlled. All visitors to the nursery are asked to provide identification and must sign the visitors book on arrival. Our staff are very conscientious and are required to adhere to strict policies and procedures regarding the authorisation for collection of children.
All employees are record checked with the Criminal Investigations Bureau and are also required to attend formal safeguarding training as part of their induction. This training is further supported by a fully trained Child Protection officer on site at the nursery.
The nursery also has a fully trained Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure nursery safety and security at all times.
We also believe it is our duty to teach the children in our care about safety and security and discussions and activities around these subjects are built into the curriculum.
Ofsted said: 'The provision is well organised, with documentation maintained to support children's safety and welfare. Detailed policies and procedures are in place with clear recruitment and vetting procedures to check staff suitability to work with children....Children are able to move around the play areas freely and safely as staff talk to them about keeping themselves safe.'
